Bathroom Installations
A bathroom is a big investment for anyone - from choosing the suite, the tiling, the choice of fixtures and fittings.
With my experience in designing and installing many different bathrooms, I can help you visualise your ideas and make it a reality.
There are many important decisions when choosing the suite, with space, layout, and waste pipe configuration being important considerations. Together we can design and construct your bathroom to ensure full utilisation of this space.
Below I have created a break down of different types of suite/furniture available:
Toilet units
Toilets are available in many different designs. There are slim line units to save space, there are comfort pans which are taller, close-coupled to reduce space, and built-in units which have a concealed cistern. The built-in units allow more storage space, and if you view the gallery you can see different concealed units which save space - and make space for storage!
Most toilets utilise a short and long flush (3 & 6 litres) which allow you to reduce your water consumption.
Basin units
There are basin units available which can be mounted on vanity units to give you extra storage space. If you prefer a wall mounted unit with a demi-pedestal to conceal pipe work can be chosen which looks great in any environment.
Baths
There are many different designs and configurations available, with popular units being free standing, traditional bath and bath with shower cubicle.
Free standing baths allow the unit to be set away from the wall with tiling or your chosen wall finish to run to the floor. Traditional baths come in a number of different lengths, with typical sizes ranging between 1500-1700mm long and 700-800mm wide.
The bath with shower cubicle adds a wider cube to one end of the bath, giving more comfort when showering. They typically give an extra 100-150mm of space at the shower end for movement.
Baths are available in Acrylic, steel, resin and iron to name but a few.
Showers
Depending on space available a choice of walk-in shower or traditional shower with sliding doors are available.
A walk-in shower allows you to do just that - walk in without opening or closing the doors. There are many different designs and sizes - cubicles, quadrants (with a curve on the door sliders) and regular rectangular.
Shower units are available for different configurations and budgets. Electric showers only require a cold mains feed, and typically have a box on the wall which houses the mechanisms and controls. Bar showers have two feeds - hot and cold which can be tank fed (usually pumped) or direct off the mains pressure or boiler. This is an important consideration as the shower chosen may require additional work.
Built-in showers have the valve and pipework concealed within the wall void and allow just the control and shower head to be seen.
